How can I build a safe RPL portfolio?
Choose evidence that shows your own work and meets unit needs.
What does this mean for your study?
An RPL portfolio should show your own relevant skills and knowledge. A large collection of documents is not necessarily useful evidence. Start with the assessor’s unit requirements and identify what each item is meant to demonstrate.
How can you use this information?
Before sharing workplace material, obtain permission where needed and ask how confidential details can be removed. Explain your own contribution to team work. Redaction must still leave enough information for assessment; agree the approach with the assessor rather than assuming every sample will be accepted.
What should you compare?
- Exact qualification and unit evidence
- Your practical access and support
- Written conditions and unanswered questions
What remains unconfirmed?
Your evidence, unit equivalence, recognition outcome and any gap-training costs need an individual provider assessment.
What can you do next?
Agree an evidence list before collecting documents.
